What is mixing ?
Mixing is the step that occurs after recording and editing. During this process, the tracks are mixed and processed separately (EQ, dynamics, etc.).
We add the effects and can also correct the accuracy of the voice if necessary. All this with the aim of creating a harmonious and homogeneous whole, in which each instrument will be heard and in its place.
Our mixing technique is based on precise and personalized work depending entirely on your project and musical style. The experience of our sound engineer and the quality of the equipment used allow us to offer you a professional result that perfectly meets your expectations.
Our service includes the following tasks:
– Individual processing of each track (EQ, compression, gate, etc.)
– Added effects (reverb, delay, chorus, etc.)
– If necessary: cleaning the tracks, correcting the accuracy of the voice (Autotune)
- Mastering of the mix
– Three sets of touch-ups included
– Optional: additional master for streaming platforms
Here are some of our achievements. The first version is the premix before mixing, the second the final song after mixing and mastering.
What is mastering ?
Mastering is precision work which consists of structuring the tonal balance of the piece, its dynamics, its stereo image, but also to ensure that it has a homogeneous rendering on all types of listening (living room hi-fi , car, music player). This is the last step after mixing, just before release on physical or digital media.
This process is often taken lightly by many artists. However, this is the most delicate stage of album production and requires the most experience. Bad mastering on a well-mixed track will ruin the mix. Conversely, it will not be able to correct a bad mixing: it is not a miracle cure but an optimization.
We offer you a professional and 100% human service, consisting of complex and different work for each title, and not the simple application of an algorithm to the mix. Our goal is to provide you with optimal quality and to bring warmth, musicality and depth to your titles.
Our service includes the following tasks:
– Mix processing (EQ, compression, spatialization, etc.)
– Volume processing (target -9 LUFS)
– Three sets of touch-ups included
– Optional: additional master for streaming platforms
You can listen to some tracks before and after mastering below.
What is stem mastering ?
Stem mastering consists of mastering a mix in the form of several groups of instruments (drums, bass, synths, guitars, vocals, etc.).
It is particularly suitable for artists working in home studio and completely “in the box” in order to compensate for certain defects that would not have been heard during mixing, especially if the listening environment is not precise enough.
Halfway between mixing and mastering, stem mastering allows you to preserve the spirit and balance of your original mix, while offering more processing possibilities. You will thus obtain an even better result: you will gain punch, clarity and depth.
Our service includes the following tasks:
– Individual processing of each stem
– Mix processing (EQ, compression, spatialization, etc.)
– Volume processing (target -9 LUFS)
– Three sets of touch-ups included
– Optional: additional master for streaming platforms
To compare the rendering between standard mastering and stem mastering, some productions can be listened to below.
